STRAIGHT SHOOTER NEWS

Picture

Sunday 29th January 2012

Happy new year everyone! A bit late I know but there it is......
Ok, so we got 2012 rolling this weekend with two gigs and they were a couple of belters! First up was Stanshawes Court Hotel in Yate and for our first visit there we had a really great crowd who were definitely up for a good time. We had some really good compliments and a lot of people were asking where they could see us play next so they took some flyers home and must have got on the internet over the weekend because this site had 140 ish more hits than we usually get!!!I must admit that I think the good attendance had something to do with a certain Martin Perret from our friends LIMELIGHT who were playing out of the area and steered some of their crowd our way so, thanks guys! We will be back at Stanshawes Court two more times later this year.
Last night saw Straight Shooter back in Trowbridge at The Dursley Arms where we presented a whole bunch of new songs for the rather sizeable crowd. We had a really great night and would like to thank everyone who braved the cold and came to see us. It was especially nice to see a few familiar faces we hadn't seen in a while, even if some of those faces have now grown ginger beards and have a new set of wheels (you know who you are)............. great to see you both and get well soon mate.
In other news, we recently totted up all the songs that we regularly play in our set and found that we now have a grand total of 72 songs we can play for all you sexy people! That's not including any of the 15 or so songs which we learned but don't play anymore, but it still is not enough for us!! If you think there is a song which we should be doing but aren't, send us an EMAIL and we will look into trying them out.
No anonymous emails asking for Mastadon numbers please PHIL LEAHY!!!!!!

Next up, Saturday February 4th @ Mardons Social Club Midsomer Norton.
Now where did I put my sequined suit..........

Sunday 18th December 2011

As uncle Noddy once said, "So here it is, Merry Christmas......"
Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who came out to come and see the band this weekend at The Kings Arms in Bath and The Reckless Engineer in Bristol. Special thanks to those who travelled long distances (you know who you are) and to the people who came on both Friday AND Saturday!!! We
only repeated 4 (I think) songs from the previous night so you guys got special value for money!! Thank you all again and if you didn't manage to get tickets for the gig at The Queens Head in Box on New Year's Eve, we'll see you again in 2012.....
Happy Xmas people!!!

Sunday 25th September 2011

Look out, it's the news!!
Ok, here goes.... this weekend saw the double header which was christened "The Royal Weekend" 'cos we played at The Kings Arms in Hilperton on Friday and then The Queens Head in Box on Saturday. See what I did there? Clever aren't I?
The Kings Arms was a new place for us and we were warmly welcomed by the landlord and landlady to a great pub with a little comfy area which had a great sound. Thanks to those who came along and really made the night great for us. The Kings Arms has huge potential for gigs but it needs people to attend for it to grow into the great venue it so obviously could be, so show your support and get down there for their next set of gigs. You can find out more on the pubs Facebook page HERE.
Then came The Queens Head in Box...... Well, what can I say? It was packed out with a load of crazy, jive ass mothers who were really up for a good time. It was great to see some old and new faces and to hear some truly humbling compliments from them! (some of them were probably lying mind you). We'll be back at the Queens in February next year for some more tomfoolery...
Next up is another new venue for us, The Riverside in Midsomer Norton on October the 1st. Better get down there to see us before we take our annual Oktoberbreak.....
Every October we leave free of gigs so that Phil can take up his part-time position as the Archbishop of Canterbury's Special Envoy of Rock . This year he is spreading his message of awesomeness to Europe (and beyond) equipped only with a Bible and a CD of some shitty metal band that no-one except him has ever heard of. He will be joined by his wife who is there purely to roll her eyes and shake her head in disbelief at the sheer force of Phil's Mighty, Awesome, Astonishing Power of Righteous Rock Incredibleness. Which is nice. (or they could just be going on holiday) I'm not sure because I never, ever listen.
Ooops! I forgot to do the washing up! Better go.
Bye.

Sunday 7th August 2011

Hello there you mothers!!
It's been a while since the last update and that's because I haven't been able to give a toss for a bit. (or maybe because there just hasn't been much news).
So, we played at Beeses Butcombe beer day on Friday and I felt we managed to rock the place in the appropriate manner again! Thanks to everyone who showed their faces, especially to those who travelled from Wales and Southampton AND Portsmouth - you know who you are - it's always good to see you guys.
Friday was our last gig for a few weeks as Mr Spongalero puts aside most of August to organise  his annual International Tortoise Breeders Conference in Monaco. Andy plans to spread the word throughout Europe about the "Box Tortoise Breeding Method" which involves two tortoises, a tube of Deep Heat, half a grapefruit and a Bananarama CD. Fascinating stuff....
He will be back in time to resume gigging with Straight Shooter at the White Horse Country Park in Westbury on Sunday 28th of August when we will be headlining the Rugby Club's Fun Day. Glamorous isn't it? I bet you're dead jealous aren't you? Hmm?
Anyway, get ticket info and stuff from this link HERE. Lots of great local bands are going to be there (and some might even be playing too)......We will be onstage at 9pm, That's......9 PM kids!!
Bye for now, I have to shave my feet.

Saturday 21st May 2011

Mornin'!
Last night we played one of the most enjoyable gigs we've done so far at Court Farm, Banwell for the Sisterhood and Petrolheads Double Trouble Bike rally. We can't thank everyone who was involved enough for giving us a truly superb reception. The organisers, the sound men and everyone who got up to dance for an hour and a half solid all helped provide us with a very special memory of a really fantastic gig.
We hope to do more of this kind of gig and have had several enquiries about more rallies for next year which we are looking forward to.
In other news, I've been busy editing, mixing and producing an hour long DVD of Straight Shooter's live performances which is more for ourselves to keep for posterity but if you would like a copy, I may be persuaded to flog you one! Email me or ask us at a gig for details....
Right, now to get back to the hoovering..... ROCK AND FACKING ROLL!!!!

Monday 2nd May 2011

Hello every bladdy peeps! Blimey what a busy weekend we've had... on Friday there was that little private gig at Buckingham Palace we did.... no sorry, that was classified information so forget you heard it OK?
Anyway, we played at a new venue for us last Saturday in Market Lavington near Devizes called The Drummer Boy. What a lavverly pub that is! We will be back there next year so try to come on down if you live nearby as the atmosphere is great and so is the beer. It's just a shame the band was shit but you can't have it all.
So then came Sunday. We played the radio session which was mentioned in our previous news update and dragged our own "film crew" along too. I can't thank Ty and Stu enough for giving up their free time and pointing their cameras at us in a effort for us to feel young again. We recorded four songs and a short interview which will be broadcast on Somer Valley FM  Thursday night at 8pm to promote the Hootenanny Gigon Saturday 7th May. If you can't wait that long, check out the live video page and watch the video we made with our own crayons!
There will be more videos from the session coming up very soon and if you're all good children and eat your greens, Daddy will let you watch the videos from next weeks Hootenanny which are in the pipeline as well. But, if you're bad.......you can go to bed early.
Now remember to tell your sister to put the bin's out.......

Saturday 23 April 2011

Well, there we were again at the grand opening of Beeses summer season last night. As soon as we arrive we start asking "why do we punish ourselves with these steps every year"? and then a couple of hours later, that question is answered....... because Beeses kicks ass!!! It was a true pleasure playing to such an appreciative crowd who aren't scared to let loose and go totally nuts once in a while, so thank you to everyone who made the steps seem a lot shorter last night!
(And a special thanks to all the friends who helped carry the gear back up those steps of doom)!
There's quite a bit going on with Straight Shooter at the moment folks
and all will be revealed in good time but I thought I'd let you know about something different coming up in May. We will be recording a live session and interview at Somer Valley Radio HQ on May 1st to be broadcast on May 5th. This is to promote our Hootenanny gig at Temple Cloud hall on May 7th when we are playing with Blackjakk and Rude Tiger. It's all a little uncertain how it's going to turn out yet but that's the plan anyway. You can listen to Somer Valley either on 97.5FM (if you're in the Midsomer Norton area) or by clicking HERE.
We also have friends who will be filming the session, the Hoot gig will be recorded and a video will be produced
too so keep your eyes peeled for that when it is finished. AND while we're on the subject of video's, we hope to be able to record and film our appearance at this years Pittfest on the 18th June! Pretty soon we may even have enough footage to produce a full length tongue in cheek "Rockumentary" which will be put on youtube at some point....... or not.
Anyway, check out the gigs page for more dates which are coming up
throughout the summer and don't push your granny while she's shaving.
I must leave now..... I wish to be alone.....

Monday 21st March 2011

Newsflash!!
The Reckless Engineer in Bristol's website states that we are playing there this coming Saturday. Just a note to say that the listing is a mistake and we are not booked to play there until July 9th. Hope to see you all in July then and NOT on Saturday!
Stand by your beds...........

Sunday 20th March 2011

I think a special thank you is in order to everyone who came to Weston Super Mare to watch us play at the Back Bar last night! It was a great gig and good to see some faces travel down from Bristol to rock out..... (you know who you are).
We managed to squeeze in a few new songs we have recently learned and they seem to be going down well so far but if anyone out there has any special requests for new songs you think we should learn, please feel free to drop us an email and we will do our best to learn them (as long as they are not shit).
Now get off your computer and go and do something else..... bye!

Sunday 23rd January 2011

Happy new year folks!
I've just got back from our gig at the Queens Head in Box and what a jolly good wheeze it was too. Dean, our host, was kind enough to record the gig for us and when we get a copy we'll pop some tracks on the website for you to download.
There are new gig dates coming in thick and fast so keep checking back for when and where we are playing near you this coming year.
Adios amigos!

Sunday 26th December 2010

Happy Xmas y'all!! Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who came to the Railway this afternoon to hear us play. We all had a great time and are looking forward to going back there in 2011.
This year has been a lot of fun for us and there are more gigs coming in for new venues next year. If you can recommend any other places we have not played before, maybe your local boozer or club, then email us with the details.
We hope you all have a great new year and thanks for your continued support throughout 2010. Long may it continue!!!
Laterzzzz bredren.....

Saturday 18th December 2010

Hi everyone, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we have had to cancel tonight's gig at the Reckless Engineer due to the bad weather. I have emailed and texted as many people as I could to let them know, but there will always be someone who did not hear from us. We can only apologise to them & anyone who braves the bad weather expecting to see us tonight. So the lesson here is KEEP CHECKING THE WEBSITE!!!!!
But on a good note, we will be back there on January the 8th with the AC/DC set. So the drill is the same as before with one 45 minute set of our normal pub rock stuff and then an hour of Bon Scott era AC/DC songs to finish off the night.
Hope to see you there.
Next stop, the Railway Hotel in Radstock for Boxing Day boogie!  Have a great Xmas y'all!!

Monday 13th December 2010

Good evening fellow Shooters!
Just a bit of news about our gig at The Reckless Engineer this coming Saturday.
We have just found out that for an unknown reason, the pub will be charging a £5 entry fee on the night which has taken us rather by surprise as we were not notified. We're sorry if this causes any inconvenience (or extra expense) but it is out of our hands.
For those of you who do decide to come along, we promise to rock out that little bit extra for you!!!
We are next at the Reckless on January 8th and we will be performing our ever popular Bon Scott AC/DC set. We will of course keep you posted if this gig is a pay-on-the-door event. Keep checking the website for news.....
Adios amigos!!!!

Monday 8th November 2010

Hello peeps! Guess what? Straightshooterrocks .com is now one year old! Yippeee!!!
Enough of this gay banter, News just in........
The Reckless Engineer gig on December 18th is now confirmed as being open to the public! So bring along your dancing trousers and get down (baby) at Straight Shooter's last Bristol gig of the year.
It's not decided yet but we might play a 45 minute AC/DC set on the night. We'll keep you posted.
Bye then.

Sunday 7th November 2010

Well, here we are again after a month off. Bloody people wanting to have holidays....... how dare they! I thought I'd better update the site even though not a lot has been happening due to the holidays, so here we go....
I am still waiting to hear whether or not our Reckless Engineer gig on December 18th is open to the public or just for White Tigers MCC members only. As soon as I have confirmation, it will be announced on this website so keep checking back here for that.
The gigs are rolling in for 2011 and most of our usual circuit gigs are booked up now. There are some new gigs next year, as always they will all be announced on the gigs page and are ALWAYS up to date.
Last night we played the Back Bar in Weston-Super-Mare and it was a good one too. It's always a good place to play and everyone there seems to have no problem enjoying themselves (or fighting in the street over a stolen bicycle) . Thanks to you all for listening and showing your ever growing support.
Next up we have the Queens Head in Box on Saturday. It's a gig you won't want to miss as we will be playing in a different part of the pub and wait for it....... it's going to be recorded for our next live "album"!!! So if you want to be a part of the album then come along and make as much noise as you can to ensure that you are heard on the final edit.
We hope to see you all there, might be a bit of a squeeze but it's always worth it!!
Cheerio bye ta ta.

Sunday 12th September 2010

We polished off a double header this weekend (ooer missus). We played a new venue for us at The White horse Country Park in Westbury on Friday night which had a really good sounding room, always a bonus for a band like us. We really enjoyed ourselves even though there was only a small crowd who seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. We will be going back  again in the near future and look forward to seeing some more punters at this great new venue.
The next night was a little better attended..... in fact, more than just a bit, it was packed out!! We always like playing at The Reckless Engineer in Bristol but this night was a bit special. There was a birthday outing for Paul and his gang who come to see us quite a lot and a good splash of old and new faces in the crowd. So thanks to everyone who came along on Saturday, you made us feel very welcome!
The next gig we have at the Reckless is on December 18th and we were told last night that it will now be the White Tigers MCC annual Christmas party. At the moment we think the pub is only open to members of the bike club so unfortunately, members of the public will not be admitted. Keep checking back to this website to get more news on this closer to the time.
Another bit of good news is that Straight Shooter have been confirmed to play at The Railway in Radstock on Boxing Day afternoon. The pub will be open to everyone so if you want to get away from  the usual TV re-runs of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang , Mary Poppins or a boring teatime with your mad auntie who smells of wee, come to the Railway at around 5pm on Boxing Day!!
Bonjour!

Saturday 4th September 2010

Hello kids!
We have just played our last gig of the year at Beeses Tearooms in Bristol. It was their annual beer festival and boy what a good gig it was! To be honest, we weren't that surprised because it's always a good gig at Beeses but we'd like to say a big thankyou to everyone who turned up and made the night that little bit special.
So, next weekend we have a double header again. It will be our first visit to the White Horse Country Park in Westbury on Friday and back again at one of our favourite venues, The Reckless Engineer on Saturday. Hope to see you there!
By the way, photos of our gig at the Court Hotel music festival last wek are on this site now. Click HEREto have a gander.
Peace out..... and shit.

Tuesday 20th July 2010.

Well, Straight Shooter played their AC/DC set at the Woolley Festival on Saturday night and we can't thank everyone enough for the great compliments! We had THE best time ever and it's all thanks to the lovely Darren Taylor from The George @ Bradford On Avon. The festival is down to Darren and the team of helpers who worked their asses off for the festival and it really made the night special for us and everyone else involved.
We thought the AC/DC set might baffle the crowd as it was a bit heavier than a lot of the other great acts at the fest but, boy were we wrong! It started off really well for us and just got better and better as the set continued, ending up with the full marquee singing along to "Highway To Hell".
Thanks to everyone who cheered us on, we very much appreciate it!!!
Don't forget we are playing another open air "do" in Chilcompton with The Venezuelan Pig Rustlers, The Honky Tonks and Sneakers on August Bank Holiday Sunday. It has been set up to raise money for the Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance so make the trip to the Mendips and do your bit for charrideee mate!!
See HERE for ticket details and a map of how to get there.
See ya!!!

Wednesday 7th July 2010

Alright young 'un?
We have uploaded a new track on the downloads page which was recorded at the Farrington Hootenanny last month. The track is "Rock 'N Roll Damnation" by AC/DC and was recorded and engineered by Clint Dando, so a big thank you to him. Keep your eyes on the page because more songs will be added soon.
Cheers now......

Sunday 27th June 2010

Well, that's all our June gigs done and wow, that Dying Breed Motorcycle Club lot certainly know how to party!! They had us on our toes all night wanting more and more, we even had a request for the Macarena song but I think the guy who asked for it was re-captured soon afterwards..... Seriously though, what a great night we had and we even tried out a few new songs too.
Next up we have our annual outing to Beeses Bar & Tearooms in Bristol where by sheer coincidence it is Bon scotts birthday, so expect a preview of our AC/DC set and a couple of other gems. It is also BUTCOMBE beer day so there will be cheap beer and lots of lovely food too! Hope to see some of you there!
Live long and prosper.....

Sunday 20th June 2010

Last night we played our first Farrington Gurney Hootenanny and what a brilliant night it was too! Thanks to all the good people who came along, we will see you all again in 2011. If you haven't been to a "Hoot" yet, get yourself over there and join in. There 's food, beer and great live music all in one place  so click here for details.
Next stop, The Dying Breed MCC rally in Westbury........

STOP PRESS!!

After getting a bollocking from our bass player I am hereby obliged to mention another event which is better than anything else in the world.  On the 9th July Straight Shooter are back at Beeses in Bristol for the annual Butcombe Day Rock 'n Cook out. If you like sausages beer and rockin', then this is for you!
Also we will preview our AC/DC set again just for Ma Beese.
How's that Phil? Am I still in the band?
Laterzzzz.....

Sunday 23rd May 2010

Well, that's all the May gigs done and dusted. We played at Bradford Rugby Club last night at a party for the lovely Jill who told me not to say her age. We love playing at 60th birthday parties! .....oops! Thanks Jill, (especially for the fish & chip supper) we hope you had a great night 'cos we did.
Looking forward to seeing you all in June for a double  Bike rally, Golden Liony, Hootenanny type mungous month, mate.
NOT 'ALF!!!

Sunday 11th April 2010

Well, that's two AC/DC nights down and one more to go. Last night we did the DC at the Reckless Engineer and what a night that was!!
A big, big thank you to everyone who turned up and really made the night special for us. It was probably the biggest crowd we have played to at that venue and we hope to see everyone there again a bit later in the year.
We have the Woolley festival coming up on July 17th where we will be doing the set again, see the link on our gigs page for full details which are expected to be announced shortly.
Chin, Chin!!

Wednesday 24th March 2010

Right then, after our last news post, the AC/DC nights have expanded again!
We will be playing a gig with a one hour AC/DC set at The Reckless Engineer in Bristol on the 10th April. There are also some new gig dates added to the site, so get your air guitars out and trot on down to a gig near you soon.
Adios amigos!!

Friday 19th February 2010

We have finally made a decision about when and where to try out our 45 minute set of AC/DC songs. It's kind of appropriate to announce it today as it is the 30th anniversary of Bon Scott's death, (merely a coincidence though)!
It will take place on Friday April 2nd (GOOD FRIDAY) at Beeses Bar in Bristol. Click HERE for directions.
We will play an hour or so of the usual stuff we play around the pubs first, and then we'll turn everything up to "11", grab the SG's and finish up with a selection of our favourite Bon Scott era AC/DC songs.
Also, we have been asked to do the DC set at this year's Woolley Festival in Bradford On Avon. This little festival is in it's 12th year and in recent years was held at the George Inn's car park, but this year is a bit different. It will be held over 2 nights and in a field with a big marquee, huge sound system and full stage lighting.
The festival is on Friday 16th July & Saturday 17th. The theme of the SATURDAY night is 60's and 70's music. So there will be performances from, amongst many others; The Venezuelan Pig Rustlers paying tribute to FREE, Rattlesnake Shake with a tribute to ZZ TOP, Our AC/DC set and to finish the night, a note for note LIVE reproduction of  The Beatles classic album "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" by an all star band.
These details are yet to be fully confirmed and will be announced on the Woolley Festival WEBSITE soon.
So here's to a pretty blimming brilliant festival! We'll see you there.....Oh, and at Beeses too!!

Thursday 28th January 2010

More exciting pics added to the Band Photos page today....Bet you just can't wait to see 'em, can you?....
A great big thankyou to Alex Evans from the band Johny's Day Out, for taking the pictures of us at The Railway in Radstock.

Sunday 24th January 2010

A big thank you to everyone who came out to The Railway Hotel in Radstock last Friday night. It seems that local papers, word of mouth and a bit of help from a Facebook page managed to get the pub pretty darn busy. We enjoyed it a lot and will be returning to Big Col's gaff two more times this coming year so keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
Speaking of updates, my computer has risen from the grave and I have uploaded two new tracks for your aural pleasure....fnaar fnaar!!
I'll get my coat...............

Friday 8th January 2010

Happy New Year Y'all!
After a lot of over indulgence at Xmas, it's time to get rolling in some more new songs for the new year. We are still compiling a definitive list of songs by AC/DC for the "Tribute Night"  and so far all seems to be going well, a bit more practice should see about 15 tracks ready for the first try.
The idea is to do a normal 45 minute set of stuff we play around the pubs already and then finish off the night with an hour of our favourite Bon Scott era AC/DC numbers. Depending on how well it goes, we will do a full 2 hour set later on in the year.
So you can expect the obvious Whole Lotta Rosie, Highway To Hell etc, but there might be a few obscure little gems thrown in too.....
See you at the next gig which is The Railway in Radstock on the 22nd January. Don't miss it!!!
Also, my computer is down at the moment which contains all the music files, so there won't be any new downloads available until it's fixed. Sorry!!!!
Ta ra for a bit.

Saturday 19th December

Evenin' All...
We were lucky to be the first band to try out the new soundproofing in the Kings Arms Bath last night and what a difference it has made!! Now the pub is minus a stage which isn't a bad thing, we seem to have had more room to ourselves AND we could crank the amps up a bit more than at recent Kinger gigs, while still managing not to disturb the neighbours.
It was a great night to finish our year on, we managed to slip in three new AC/DC songs and (believe it or not) a snippet of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd! Keep coming to the gigs to experience new "forgotten songs".....if you've seen us before, you'll know what that means.
Well, that's pretty much it  for us this year and what a cracking year it's been. So thanks to everyone who made the effort to come and see us in 2009. Keep it up and we'll see you next on the 22nd of January at The Railway Hotel in Radstock.
Oh, and happy Christmas too!!!!

Tuesday 8th December

Greetings y'all! Our last gig of the year is coming up at The MIGHTY Kings Arms in Bath on the 18th December. If you have never been to the Kinger before, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU???!!!!
In case you didn't know, music at the pub is under threat  due to a noise complaint from a nice new neighbour who moved in recently. This pub has been at the heart of the pub rock/blues scene in this area for THIRTY YEARS and it would be a real shame to see the Kinger lose it's music license.
So, come down and give the landlady (Debs) all the support you can and sign the petition while you are drinking and enjoying the best variety of live rock bands in the Bath and Bristol area.
If you do manage to get your butt down there, you might be the first to hear a selection of  new AC/DC songs we are currently getting our lug-holes around. We will be learning enough Bon Scott era AC/DC tracks to try out the first Straight Shooter AC/DC night in first few months of next year. The location and exact date are still being discussed so if you'd like to know more about this night, then email us HERE and you will be the first to know about it....after us that is. Or something.....

Tuesday 1st December 2009

Sorry to say that last month we had two gigs on the trot cancel on us. This was due to circumstances beyond our control and we can only apologise to anyone who made the effort to get to either of these gigs. We make every effort to stick to the gigs we book throughout the year and if any of them do get cancelled it is VERY rare that it's down to us. (in fact, in over 150 gigs we have cancelled only once) So it's always advisable to check with the venue that we are gonna be there before you leave home.
There will be more new gig dates added from time to time, so keep checking back for updates.
We have uploaded some new songs for you all to have a listen to (or keep) on the downloads page.

Sunday 15th November 2009

Last night we played at the Fox & Hounds in Wroughton for the second time. What a great gig we had!! (apart from getting the mic smashed into my teeth..... which was nice) .
We'd like to thank everyone who came out to see us, especially our Portsmouth/Wales contingent whose petrol bill must be HUGE!!!!  These guys have to be the most dedicated (or mental) bunch of Straight Shooters followers as they travel all the way to Bristol to see us on a regualar basis. They decided to make a weekend of it and stayed at the pub's B & B facility overnight too and by sheer coincidence, our old friend Jeff Watts also decided to do the same.
NOTE TO JEFF: When you sit down for breakfast in the morning, don't believe a thing they say about us...what ever they tell you, IT'S NOT TRUE!!
Big thanks to all you guys, keep coming!!

Monday 9th November 2009

New downloads page added today. Click  HERE or navigate above.

There are three songs ready for you to play on your PC or download and listen to later.
More songs will be added every month.... Aren't we nice?

Saturday 7th November 2009

Keep your eye on this site for the full live recording of our gig at Beeses Bar from 7th August. It will hopefully be available here  for download in the next few weeks and it will be free of charge. Woooooo Hooooo!!

Friday 6th November 2009

Straightshooterrocks.com went online. Instead of bouncing from myspace to facebook etc, from now on everything is now "under one roof" but with all the links to the other sites still active on our links/contact page.

Straight Shooter played at The Golden Lion in Fishponds for the first time. A great little gig at this pub and most enjoyable too I might add.
